Where it all begins
I've always known I wanted to work in medicine, even from a young age-though I didn't yet know that Chinese medicine would become my path. I started my career in healthcare early on, serving as a medic in the military. After several years, I brought those skills into the civilian world working as a paramedic. Ive had the privilege of working with people during some of the most critical and vulnerable moments of their lives.
Over the years, I noticed patterns: most medical emergencies weren't sudden or random. They were often the result of long-standing stress, unresolved health issues, or conditions that had been building quietly over time. That led me to ask deeper questions-how do these patterns start, and how can we support the body before it reaches a breaking point?
Listening to people's stories-about their stress, their emotional struggles, their mental health, and their physical health issues—I began to see how closely all of these pieces are connected. It became impossible to separate the body from the mind, or physical symptoms from emotional strain.
Those questions eventually led me into holistic medicine, and more specifically, into Chinese medicine and acupuncture. As I learned more about the nervous system, meridians and the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and physical health, I realized that Chinese medicine had been working with this understanding for thousands of years-long before it was acknowledged in conventional medicine.
My approach
My work is grounded in both worlds. With my background in clinical care, I bring a strong foundation of critical thinking and medical understanding into every session. At the same time, l integrate the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, which views the body as an interconnected whole. What I focus on most is the relationship between the nervous system, emotional state, and physical symptoms. Whether stress is acute or long-standing, it creates real chemical and physiological changes in the body. Over time, those changes can show up as pain, tension, fatigue, digestive issues, or other chronic symptoms.
My goal is to help bring the body back into balance by working with the nervous system and meridians—supporting regulation, grounding, and reconnection. As the body settles, people often notice that aches and pains ease, physical symptoms improve, and there's a greater sense of calm and clarity.
These sessions aren't a quick fix. They're a process of helping you reconnect with yourself, restore balance, and create the conditions for your body to heal and function more smoothly. If you're feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns that keep showing up physically or emotionally, my work is about supporting you in finding your way back to a more grounded, balanced state.
My approach is ment to complement, not replace conventional medical care. I see this work as one peice of a larger picture, supporting your body’s natural ability to regulate, heal and find balance while working alongside the care you may already be receiving.
